Apache 2.4 web agent problem on Ubuntu

Bernie Jones

I’m working on a new OpenAM 13.5 installation on Ubuntu and having trouble getting the Apache 2.4 64 bit web agent to start.

I’ve followed the Ubuntu-related steps in OPENAM-3862 to manually create amagent.conf and amagent.load but still get the following error:

      ######################################################^M

        # OpenAM Web Agent                                   #^M

        # Version: 4.1.0                                     #^M

        # Revision: 31e821e                                  #^M

        # Container: Apache 2.4 Linux 64bit                  #^M

        # Build date: Nov 16 2016 11:40:38                   #^M

        ######################################################^M

2017-02-14 11:15:56.343 +0000   ERROR [0x7f0cec1cb700:25155] am_get_config_file(): can't open file /etc/apache2/web_agents/apache24_agent/bin/../instances/agent_1/config/agent.conf (error: 13)

2017-02-14 11:15:56.343 +0000   ERROR [0x7f0cec1cb700:25155] am_get_agent_config(): failed to load instance bootstrap 3481630576 data

I’ve checked the path and permissions to agent.conf and all seems OK.

Any suggestions please as to either the possible causes of this – or on how to enable debug output for the agent to get better diagnostics.

Thanks,

Bernie

Hi,

The error 13 you are getting suggests file permission problem. Make sure the server user can read the file.

Thanks Jari, that was it – permissions needed further up the file path.
