Caching, LDAP based Active Directory DataStore

Tony Harris-2

Are subject entries from AD cached in OpenAM, if so does OpenAM check AD if a subject login request does not find a match in the cache?

Following on from that, again if the entries are cached, is there a value that controls how long before OpenAM refreshes the subjects from AD and picks up any new ones.

Hello Tony, when posting these type of question, the OpenAM version always helps. There has been some modifications and new options regarding caching in OpenAM, specifically regarding DN caching.

By default, OpenAM will be caching the entries and will be using LDAP Persistent Searches to keep the attributes fresh.

You can find more information on caches here;
